Founders Breakfast
to examine 21st-century 'biblical mandates'
ATLANTA (BP)--Biblical preaching and church discipline will be
addressed during the Founders Fellowship Breakfast at 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, in the
Georgia World Congress Center, Rooms W266-267 on level two.
The breakfast, with the theme of "The Church in the World:
Biblical Mandates for the 21st Century," is sponsored by the Founders Ministries,
formerly the Founders Conference, an organization which holds that the Southern Baptist
Convention's founders believed in the doctrines of grace, often called Calvinism.
Tom Ascol, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Cape Coral,
Fla., will speak on "Recovering Biblical Preaching," while Don Whitney,
assistant professor of spiritual formation at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary,
Kansas City, Mo., will speak on "Recovering Biblical Church Discipline."
